and personal advice

The right electric order picker for your logistics process

At Prins, we always think along with you in the best possible way. That is why our advisors start by analysing your picking frequency. How often does the driver have to get in and out? If the work is intensive, we recommend an order picker with a low entry and intuitive controls. Do you pick a lot at height? Then we focus on stability and field of vision. This minimises the physical strain on the employee and increases the number of “picks per hour”. Let’s work out the balance between human effort and machine support together. Then you’ll know immediately what your Next Step will bring your company.

Horizontal order pickers for speed on the work floor

Are the bottom two levels the most important in your warehouse? Then choose a horizontal order picker, because it is fast and manoeuvrable. Try out the Toyota and CESAB models supplied by Prins. You will undoubtedly appreciate their acceleration and braking performance. Do you want to collect multiple orders at the same time? Then we can provide long forks. This will easily halve the number of trips to the dispatch department.

It’s always the little things that make machines just that little bit better. Think, for example, of a backrest that provides support while driving. Or buttons on the side of the machine, so that the truck can drive along while the picker walks alongside it. At Prins, we are happy to tell you about these kinds of innovations. Our goal is to make your logistics process faster and less prone to errors. This naturally leads us to the configuration that suits your specific carriers, whether they are Euro pallets, roll containers or auction trolleys.

Smart moves

Rent an order picker

Do you only need extra capacity during peak periods? We can help you with that too. Rent a order picker that suits your needs from Prins and you can get started right away. Whether you want to rent a machine for one day or 100 months, we will work with you to find the right solution. Our advisors will be happy to tell you more about the options. You can contact us for both short-term and long-term rentals.

Leasing an order picker

Purchasing a machine requires an investment. But perhaps you would rather not dip into your working capital. Even then, Prins has options for you. You can lease any type of order picker from us. From full operational leases to financial leases: together, we will find the lease option that best suits your situation. So that you know exactly where you stand for a fixed monthly amount.

Trade in your forklift?

Is it time to replace your current order picker? Then we would be happy to take over the machine you are currently working with. The mechanics in our own workshops will then completely overhaul it and we will add it to our second-hand fleet. This way, you will receive a refund for your used machine and together we will be working in an even more sustainable way.

Picking efficiency at any height thanks to high-lift order pickers

The higher your stock is stored, the higher the demands on your machine. That is why a high-lift order picker not only lifts the forks, but the entire cab (including the driver) to the correct level. This allows your employees to safely pick the right items at any height. At Prins, we understand that working at height requires confidence. That is why Toyota and CESAB machines are equipped with the latest safety systems. The driving speed is automatically adjusted to the lifting height.

Optimal ergonomics for reduced absenteeism

Thinking along with your logistics also means thinking along about reducing absenteeism. That is why at Prins we consciously choose machines with ergonomics in their DNA. Technical solutions such as vibration-free platforms, adjustable steering columns and cabins with 360-degree visibility help your company to make your employees as comfortable as possible. An investment in a high-quality (used) order picker from CESAB or Toyota therefore yields an additional return in the form of higher staff availability.

Electric order pickers

A reach truck always remains at floor level; only the pallets are raised. When order picking with a (high-rise) order picker, the driver moves up with the cab.

Yes, this is mandatory under the Working Conditions Act. You are not allowed to operate an electric order picker without a certificate and safety instruction.

Due to their small wheels and the fact that they drive close to the ground, electric order pickers are not suitable for outdoor use. They are designed for indoor use on a flat concrete floor.

Toyota’s T-motion order pickers follow the driver automatically. This means that the employee does not have to keep getting on and off the truck while picking in an aisle. Prins will be happy to advise you on this.
